On December 27, 2024, a tragic incident unfolded in Upper Tongaat involving two young brothers. The elder, aged seven, was brutally attacked with a panga, allegedly by their stepfather, and was found in critical condition. Following the assault, the three-year-old sibling was reported missing. A coordinated search effort ensued, involving multiple rescue teams and community members. Later that day, authorities arrested the suspect, who led them to the location of the child's body. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends affected by this devastating event.
